Popular Analyst Warns of a Sharp Drop for Bitcoin (BTC) and a Bullish Prediction for Ethereum (ETH)

There have been bullish predictions for Bitcoin for a long time, but now bearish rhetoric has started to emerge. At this point, IntoTheCryptoverse founder Benjamin Cowen predicted that Bitcoin could drop by 70% in the next bear market. He noted that Bitcoin follows the traditional 4-year bear-bull cycle based on the halving, and predicted that Bitcoin could fall by up to 70 percent after reaching an all-time high in the next bear market. Cowen said the scenario for such a large decline is not certain, but historical data suggests similar declines. In this context, Cowen stated that Bitcoin experienced declines of 94%, 87% and approximately 77% in past cycles, respectively, and argued that there would be no difference in this cycle. “This time it doesn't have to be different,” the analyst said, warning investors of a possible sharp decline of 70 percent. Cowen said that although he expects a sharp decline, Bitcoin will recover first and reach its peak. At this point, Cowen stated that if Bitcoin shows an uptrend in the fourth quarter, he would consider this cycle to follow a similar pattern. Cowen stated that he would make a profit with the rise in the fourth quarter, and added that he could wait until mid-2026 to re-enter the market. Ethereum (ETH) is More Likely to Rise! Finally, Cowen shared his analysis of Ethereum (ETH), saying that Ethereum may remain weak against Bitcoin in the short term but may recover towards the end of the market cycle. At this point, the analyst said that ETH will “struggle” against Bitcoin for a few more weeks but will outperform towards the end of the cycle. “Ethereum seems likely to outperform from now until the end of the cycle.” *This is not investment advice.
